A launch video is a great way to get your event off to a good start. Glasgow City Marketing Bureau held a press opportunity ahead of the launch of the 2011 Merchant City Festival. We were commissioned to shoot and edit a video for their YouTube channel.
Counsellor Gordon Matheson was made available for interview as well as dancer Vince Virr from Get Set GlasGOw. Get Set GlasGOw was a participative dance performance for the London 2012 Olympic ‘Open Weekend’. Vince and two other dancers provided colour and photo opportunities. The launch video was edited to a track by Quee MacArthur of Shooglenifty which had been commissioned for the event.
The participants were available for a limited time so our experience working for broadcast news was very useful. The filming was done in the morning, the editing started straight after and was finished the next day
