Video production for Juliebee Writing & Photography

Video production can be great fun,  especially when you get to attend the launch for a photography exhibition. This video was shot at the launch party for an exhibition by Julie Broadfoot at The Curlers Rest in Glasgow.

We filmed the exhibition set up in the afternoon getting a few sound bites with Julie as she worked. In the evening we filmed the guests arriving and looking at the pictures. We also interviewed a couple of them who were very excited by the images.

We cut two different videos. The set up video incorporated interview clips, some speeded up footage (quasi time-lapse video) and was all edited over a very busy piece of music. The video you see above was edited over more laid back music and showed the guests arriving and enjoying a glass of wine, while looking at the photographs. We also used the interview clips of people invited to the launch. The event has been widely promoted on Twitter and afterwards there were a lot of complimentary tweets about the exhibition. We added these at the end of the video.
